Do You Know How Does a Gel Battery Work?

When an electrolyte, sulphuric acid, and silica fumes are combined together in a lead acid battery with a valve, the result is a valve-controlled lead acid battery. As a result of this chemical reaction, a gel-like substance is generated, which is what gives these batteries their distinctive name. One-way valves allow the internal gasses to recombine into water, removing the need to monitor the water level or refresh the distilled water with gel batteries that would otherwise be required. Gel batteries are very long-lasting and multipurpose, making them an excellent choice for many applications. Because of their low (almost non-existent) gas/fume production, they are suitable for use in areas where ventilation is limited, such as the inside of your home.

Why Use Gel Battery Instead of Lead Acid Battery?
