1. Classification of Weaving Beam Defects
Weaving beam defects caused by sizing are roughly divided into four categories: artificial defects, mechanical defects, defects caused by the previous process and slurry defects. They are not independent of each other, and have a certain relationship and influence with each other. If a certain defect is not handled properly, it is likely to produce new and more serious defects. Therefore, when describing the names of defects and their causes, it is impossible to classify them into specific categories. In this paper, the quality problems of the weaving beam itself and the physical quality defects of the cloth surface are attributed to the defects of the weaving beam. Because there are many types of defects, only a few common defect prevention and treatment methods are listed.
2 Defect Cause Analysis And Prevention
Targeted early prevention and active take effective measures to eliminate sizing defects in time is the key to improving the intrinsic quality of the loom, and it is also the guarantee to improve the efficiency of the loom and product quality
2.1 Sizing rate
The sizing rate is a very important indicator for evaluating the quality of the sizing woven beam. Too large or too small sizing rate will lead to an increase in warp breakage, which in turn affects the efficiency of the loom and product quality. If the sizing rate is too small, the wear resistance of the warp yarn will be weakened, and the surface of the yarn will be fuzzed, pilled, and warp breakage will increase during the weaving process, and it may even be impossible to weave.
2.2 Moisture regain
Moisture regain is also an important indicator for assessing the quality of sizing beams, and the pass rate should not be lower than 85%. The size of the moisture regain, the size of the sizing rate and their causes are inextricably linked. Generally, the factors that cause the sizing rate to be too small will also cause the moisture regain to be too small; the factors that cause the sizing rate to be too large will also cause the moisture regain to be too large. Of course, it is also directly related to the temperature setting of the drying drum.
2.3 Elongation
In order to make the yarn arrangement and winding uniform and meet the production needs, the warp yarn is allowed to bear a certain tension draft during the sizing process, but the tension draft should be controlled within an appropriate range. If the tension is too small, the production cannot proceed smoothly; if the tension and elongation are too large, the yarn will lose its original elasticity and tenacity, which will increase the weaving end breakage.
2.4 Long yards and short yards
Such defects are mainly caused by human and mechanical factors. Any loom that does not reach the length required by the process design is a long and under-sized defect.
There are many other causes of sizing defects. Improving the quality of the woven beam and reducing the defects of the woven beam are the basic guarantees to improve the efficiency of the loom and the quality of the product. The front warping beam ensures that the sheet yarn, tension and arrangement are uniform, and the sizing rate is not less than 98%. The selection and formulation of the slurry are reasonable, and the sizing qualification rate is not less than 90%; the moisture regain is moderate, and the qualified rate is not less than 85%; the elongation rate is suitable, and the qualified rate is not less than 90%. The on-duty workers keep the gates on duty, operate strictly, the equipment is in good operating condition, the basic quality management work is solid, the system is in place, and focus on process operation optimization, raw yarn quality, environmental temperature and humidity control, auxiliary equipment management, personnel quality training, etc. Management work, the quality of the weaving beam will be further improved, and various quality indicators can also be improved.
