On air jet loom and rapier loom as new looms development direction

New loom is the development direction of loom and the inevitable trend of weaving technology. Compared with shuttle loom, the new loom improves the adaptability of fabric types, fabric quality, weft insertion rate and production efficiency, and reduces the noise and labor intensity of workers. In the past 70 years, shuttleless loom has formed the tripod of shuttle loom, air jet loom and rapier loom, and is developing towards the direction of high speed, intelligence, automation, reliability and multi-function.  
In recent years, air-jet loom and rapier loom have been introduced in China, especially in Shaoxing and Xiaoshan of Zhejiang province, which not only change the situation of tripod, but also become the development direction of new loom in China in the future.

(3) The looms for producing special fabrics mainly include planar three-directional fabrics and three-dimensional multi-directional fabrics, which are produced and developed with the development of industry, especially the aerospace industry.  
 
2. The characteristics of the new loom  
Due to the modern weaving technology is mainly shuttleless loom, non-traditional weft insertion system loom and special fabric loom are not common in practical production, so this paper mainly discusses the traditional weft insertion system loom.  
 
It is a consensus that shuttleless looms will replace shuttleless looms. However, each shuttleless loom has its own advantages in substituting each other. Each loom has a specific market segment, both in terms of technical features and actual sales volume.
